To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process in which adults enter the Catholic Church to become Catholic. It is for adults or teens who have not been baptized, received First Communion, or had Confirmation.
Classes educate participants on what the Catholic Church believes. If you begin RCIA, it doesn't necessarily mean you are committed to finishing. If may be that you merely curious about what Catholicism is - or mayba Catholic who wishes to renew or refresh your faith.
The RCIA cycle runs from October through to the Easter Vigil in the spring, at which time participants will receive their Sacraments.
There is no fee, however, participants must purchase books for reading assignments. Interested? Contact Deacon Doug Kendzierski.
